Ara : Ahmad Mian of Milki of Mohalla locality under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district, one of the named accused in businessman Imran Khan murder case, surrendered before an Ara court on December 11, 2018, due to mounting police pressure. Later, the court sent him to jail under judicial custody.

Station House Officer, Ara Town police  station, J P Singh said that businessman Imran Khan was shot dead while his elder brother Vaqil Khan of Doodhkatora locality under Ara Town police station and an employee of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Farooq Rayin of Gundi village under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district, were injured when some armed miscreants attacked their shop at Shobha Shree Market at Dharman Chowk, just 50 metre away from Ara Town police station on December 7, 2018.

A named FIR was lodged with Ara Town police station against nine persons including notorious Khurshid Quraishi, Babli Mian, Asif Mian, Ahamad Mian, Shamsher Mian, Abdul Quraishi, Raju Khan. Md Nayyar and Anwar alias Sarala Mian. The police have attached properties of Khurshid Quraishi, Raju Khan, Anwar alias Sarala Mian and Md Nayyar, the SHO said. He said police are conducting raids at different places to arrest the absconding named accused.
