Nagal upsets Bhambri to enter final of ATP Bengaluru Challenger

Patna : Sumit Nagal, 20, Haryna, India, upset third seed and 122nd in ATP rankings Yuki Bhambri, 25, Delhi, India, in the semifinals to reach the final of ATP Bengaluru Challenger on November 24, 2017. Nagal beat Bhambri 6-4, 6-0 in 67 minutes at Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association grounds to enter his first ATP Challenger final.

Nagal, ranked 321 in the ATP rankings, will face Jay Alexander Clarke, 19, UK, ranked 279 in ATP rankings. Bhambri had won ATP Pune Challenger last week. Nagal had upset top seed Blaz Kavcic, Slovenia, in the quarterfinals.
