Patna : World No 161 and 7th seed Sumit Nagal, 22, India, won the ATP Challenger Buenos Aires singles title at Buenos Aires, Argentina, beating World No 166 and 8th seed Facundo Bagnis, 29, Argentina, in the final on September 29, 2019, late night.

Nagal beat Bagnis 6-4, 6-2 in the final to win the title and 80 ATP rankings points besides the cash prize. Bagnis put up good fight in the first set but capitulated in the second set. Nagal broke Bagnis’ service in the 5th and 7th games in the second set and then held his service to lift the title. The tournament was played on clay court. Nagal’s ATP rankings will improve considerably with this title
