Nadal to play Tsitsipas in Barcelona Open final

Patna : World Number 1 men’s tennis player and defending champion Rafael Nadal, 31, Spain, entered the final of ATP 500 Barcelona Open on April 28, 2018, defeating World Number 10 and fourth seed David Goffin, 27, Belgium, in the semi-finals. Nadal now leads Goffin 3-1 head to head.

Ten time Barcelona Open champion Nadal crushed Goffin 6-4, 6-0. Nadal is playing Barcelona Open, one of the most important clay court tournaments, for the 14th time. The tournament is being played since 1953.

Nadal will meet Stefanos Tsitsipas, 19, Greece, in the final on April 29, 2018. World Number 63 Tsitsipas defeated World Number 11 and 5th seed Pablo Carreno Busta, 26, Spain, 7-5, 6-3, in the first semi-finals. Tsitsipas had defeated World Number 7 and 3rd seed Dominic Thiem, 24, Austria, 6-3, 6-2, in the quarterfinals on April 27. He has become the first Greek player to reach an ATP event final since 1973. Nadal’s record  is 10-0 in the final ofBarcelona Open.
