Patna : Rafael Nadal, 31, Spain, has retained his World Number 1 position in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings released on April 23, 2018, with 8,770 points after winning the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 in Monaco on April 22, 2018, evening, while Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, stays Numb2r 2 with 8,670 points.

But, Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, has jumped one position to be ranked Number 3 with 5,195 points swapping place with Marin Cilic, 29, Croatia, who has slipped to Number 4 with 4,985 points. Grigor Dimitrov, 26, Bulgaria, Juan Martin dePorto, 29, Argentina, and Dominic Thiem, 24, Austria, are ranked Number 5, Number 6, and Number 7 in the ATP rankings respectively. Kevin Anderson, 31, South Africa, is Number 8 while John Isner, 2, USA, is ranked Number 9. David Goffin, 27, Belgium, has been ranked Number 10.

Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, who lost to Rafael Nadal in the final of Monte Carlo Masters on April 22, 2018, has jumped 14 places to be ranked number 22nd in the ATP rankings.

India’s Yuki Bhambri, 25, stays at 83rd position with 688 points but Ramkumar Ramnathan, 23, India, has jumped one place to be ranked 115th with 495 points. Sumit Nagal, 20, India, has slipped four places to be ranked 219th in the latest ATP rankings with 260 points.
