Nadal enters Round of 16 of Madrid Open

Patna : World Number 1 tennis player and five time champion Rafael Nadal, 31, Spain, on May 9, 2018, defeated World Number 41 Gael Monfils, France, to enter the Round of 16 of Madrid Open ATP Masters 1000 at La Caga Magica, Madrid, Spain. Nadal beat Monfils 6-3, 6-1, in the Round of 32.

World Number 8 Kevin Anderson, South Africa, also entered the Round of 16 defeating World Number 96 Mikhail Kukushkin, 30, Kazakhstan,  5-7, 7-6, 6-2 in the Round of 32.
