Patna : Rafael Nadal, 32, Spain, Roger Federer, 36, Switzerland, Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, and Juan Martin del Porto, 29, Argentina, retain their World No1, 2, 3, and 4 position respectively in the ATP rankings released on July 16, 2018, but Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, has jumped 11 places to be ranked World No 10 in the rankings after winning his fourth Wimbledon singles title defeating Kevin Anderson, 32, South Africa, in the final on July 15, 2018, night. Anderson has also jumped 3 places to be ranked 5th in the latest ATP rankings.
World No 1 Rafael Nadal has further consolidated his No 1 position following his semi-final run at the Wimbledon where he lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic in a five-set marathon lasting more than 5 hours. Nadal has 9,310 points while Federer is down to 7,080 points after he failed to defend his Wimbledon title losing in the quarter-finals to Anderson. He was trailing Nadal by just 50 points on July 2, 2018. Nadal now leads Federer by 2,230 points. World No 3 Zevrev has 5,665 points while del Porto has 5,395 points following his quarter-finals run at Wimbledon. Anderson is 5th with 4,655 points.
Grigor Dimitrov, 27, Bulgaria, is 6th with 4,610 points while Marin Cilic, 29, Croatia, is 7th with 3,905 points. John Isner, 33, USA, has jumped 2 places to be ranked 8th following his semi-final run at the Wimbledon with 3,720 points while Dominic Thiem, 24, Austria, has slipped two places to be ranked 9th with 3,665 points.
Wimbledon Champion Djokovic is World No 10 with 3.355 points. David Goffin, 27, Belgium, has also slipped two places and is ranked 11th with 3,120 points while Diego Schwartzman, 25, Argentina, is 12th slipping one place with 2,470 points. Pablo Carreno Busta, 27, Spain, has also slipped one place to be ranked 13th with 2,155 points.
Jack Sock, 25, USA, is 14th with 2,075 points while Fabio Fognini, 31, Italy, is 15th with 2,030 points. Kyle Edmund, 23, UK, is 16th 1,995 points. Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain, has slipped 3 places to be ranked 17th with 1,940 points. Nick Kyrgios, 23, Australia, is 18th with 1,935 points while Lucas Pouille, 24, France, is 19th with 1,835 points.
Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, has jumped 8 places to be ranked 20th in the ATP rankings with 1,800 points while Sam Querrey, 30, USA, has slipped 15 places to be ranked 28th with 1,500 points. Gilles Simon, 33, France, has jumped 11 places to be ranked 42nd with 1,085 points while Jan Nennard Struff, 28, Germany, has jumped 11 places to be ranked 53rd with 945 points.
Former Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych, 32, Czech Republic, has slipped 35 places to be ranked 59th with 905 points. Alex de Minaur, 19, Australia, has jumped 12 places and is ranked 68th with 801 points. Jiri Vesely, 25, Czech Republic, has jumped 20 places to be ranked 73rd with 775 points. Mackenzie McDonald, 23, USA, has jumped 23 places to be ranked 80th with 726 points.
Yuki Bhambri, 26, India, remains static at 85th in the ATP rankinhs with 687 points but Ramkumar Ramnathan, 23, India, has slipped 21 places to be ranked 161st with 349 points. Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 28, India, has also slipped 21 places and ranked 184th with 308 points.
Sumit Nagal, 20, India, has slipped 17 places to be ranked 270 in the ATP rankings with 197 points. Saketh Myneni, 30, India, is ranked 357th with 124 points while Arjun Kadhe, 24, India, has jumped 3 places to be ranked 361 with 123 points.
