Patna : Defending champion & 3rd seed Rafael Nadal, 35, Spain, beat 10th seed Diego Schwartzman, 28, Argentina, in four=sets to reach the semi-finals of French Open, an ATP Grand Slam tournament played on outdoor clay courts at Stade Roland Garros, Paris, France, on June 9, 2021. Nadal now leads Schwartzman 11-1 Head to Head.
Thirteen-time champion and winner of record equalling 20 Grand Slam singles titles, defeated Schwartzman 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 in quarter-final on court Philippe -Chatrier on June 9, 2021, night, winning 7 break points in the match to 3 by the Argentine. Schwartzman had defeated Nadal in quarter-finals of Italian Open in 2020.
Nadal played some brilliant shots during the match. He was all over Schwartzman in 4th set. Nadal won 9 games in a row in the match to 3 by the Argentine.
