Nabinagar Nagar Panchayat chairperson removed on corruption charge

Patna: Nabinagar Nagar panchayat chairperson Radha Devi was removed from her post by the Urban Development and Housing Department on  December 5 for her alleged involvement in embezzlement of government fund released by the department. The action against the chairperson followed submission of report by a three- member committee constituted by Aurangabad DM Kawal Tanuj to probe her role into the alleged irregularities. The committee had detected huge financial irregularities by her and her family members and recommended for action against her. An FIR was also lodged against her with Nabinagar police station in Aurangabad district in this connection.
