Mystry shroud death of teenage girl at Ara

Ara : A matriculation student Shweta Kumari, 15, daughter of Vidya Bhushan Pandey, died and her younger brother Aman Kumar was injured after fire broke out under mysterious circumstances at their Jagdeonagar locality residence under Nawada police station, Ara,  in the wee hour on February 8, 2018. Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for autopsy and admitted the injured there.

SHO, Nawada police station, said that Vidya Bhushan Pandey of village Gerapa under Sahar police station worked as clerk with a contractor and lived in a house in Jagdeonagar locality under Nawada police station. He has four daughters and a son. On February 7, 2018, all the family members excluding Shweta Kumari and her younger brother Aman Kumar had gone to a private clinic where Vidya Bhushan Pandey’s eldest daughter had undergone an operation in the same evening.

In the meantime, fire broke out at their house suddenly in which Shweta Kumari sustained serious burn injuries and her younger brother injured when he tried to save his sister. Though the family members said that the fire was caused due to short circuit, but the local residents trashed this notion.

The SHO said that the reason behind the fire would be clear after thorough inquiry.
