Mystery shrouds death of newly married woman at Patna village

Patna : Mystery shrouds the death of newly married Rishika, 24, at her in-laws place at village Bankipur Gorakh  under Fatuha police sation in Patna district on July 21, 2018, late night. She was married to Rahul Kumar of Bankipur Gorakh on June 20, 2018. Rahul kumar is son of a businessman, who deals in pipes.

Rishika’s father has alleged that his daughter killed by her in-laws for dowry even as he had given a huge amount in cash at the time of marriage. He alleged that Rishika;s in-laws were repeatedly demanding a bike and torturing her almost daily. Rishika had last talked to her father on the July 21, 2018, night,  itself.

SHO, Fatuha police sation, said that cause of death would be clear oly after the post- mortem report arrives. He said that the police were yet to arrest anyone in connection with the incident. The SHO, however, could not say who had lodged the  FIR saying he would give the details later.
