Myneni enters main draw of ATP Tata Open Maharashtra

Patna : World No 259 Saketh Myneni, 31, India, on December 30, 2018, upset World No 163 Egor Gerasimov, 26, Belarus, in the final round of qualifiers to enter the main draw of Tata Open Maharashtra, an ATP 250 point event, at Pune. The main draw matches will begin from December 31, 2018.

Myneni defeated Gerasimov 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 in the final round of qualifiers. He had defeated World No 124 Jason Jung, 29, Chinese Taipei, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 in the first round of qualifiers on December 29. But, World No 336 Sasi Kumar Mukund, 21, India, lost in the first round of qualifiers to World No 146 Gianluigi Quinzi, 22, Italy, on December 29.

World No 107 in ATP rankings Prajnesh Gunneshwaran, World No 133 Ramkumar Ramnathan, and World Non 392 Arjun Kadhe, 24, all from India, have also entered the main draw of the tournament.
