Muzaffarpur : Muzaffarpur police have failed to make any breakthrough in the murder of a paper carton dealer Jitendra Kumar Das, 47, under mysterious circumstances despite lapse of two days. Police are investigating the case from different angles but yet to arrest any suspect.
Police have seized some cooked chicken pieces and a bottle of liquor from the bed room of Das where he was killed on September 12, 2019, night. Police are looking for a woman with whom the deceased allegedly illicit relation.
Das was shot dead at his house in Indira Colony under Sadar police station area, Muzaffarpur. His wife Rubi Devi, in her statement to police, said that when she reached the room of her husband to serve him dinner at 9.30 pm, he was lying
dead on his bed.
Muzaffarpur SSP Manoj Kumar said that he has himself inspected the place of occurrence and felt that some persons
killed Das and fled away from the room. He further said that Rubi Devi , wife of deceased, has accepted that her husband had extra-marital relation with a woman and also indulged in some illegal activities which might have led to his murder.
