Muzaffarpur police arrest 15 criminals, seized several arms and Rs 1.35 lakh cash

Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur police on November 15, 2016, arrested 15 notorious criminals involved in dacoity and loot and seized several arms, Rs 1.35 lakh cash looted from the people. Police have launched a drive against criminals in the wake of recent incidents of crime in Muzaffarpur district. SSP Vivek Kumar said that police seized a Scorpio and several arms from the possession of the criminal. The arrested criminals were using the Scorpio to escape after committing crime using bikes.

The SSP said that after identification of criminals on the basis of CCTV footage by DSP, City, Ashish Anand, he had constituted a team under him to arrest the criminals. The team arrested 15 criminals, the SSP said. The team first arrested one criminal and on the basis of information given by him arrested 15 other criminals. SSP Kumar said police seized two pistols, a double barrel gun, three countrymade pistols, a regular revolver, 17 live cartridges and Rs 1.35 lice cash from the possession of the criminals. The arrested criminals have admitted their involvement in various crime.
