Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra on Saturday ordered for action against the Muzaffarpur Sadar hospital staff responsible for the death of a newborn immediately after birth on October 21, 2016. Puja, wife of Naresh Sah of village Chitrouli, delivered the baby while being taken to the labour room walking by a nurse.
The nurse concerned did not requisition stretcher to rush Puja to the labour room. Puja delivered the child while walking towards the labour room. As a result, the newborn fell on the ground and died. Taking strong exception to the incident, DM Singh has asked for a report on the matter from the authorities concerned. Civil Surgeon Dr Lalita Singh while describing the incident as unfortunate said action would be taken against the nurse concerned.
