Muzaffarpur : The murder of two tarders at Mamarkha Chowk on NH 57 under Bochahan police station in Muzaffarpur district on July 24, 2017, night, by unidentified bike borne criminals has exposed the law and order in the state. Muzaffarpur MP Ajay Nishad and BJP MLA from Bochahan Baby Kumari on July 25 said that the law and order had collapsed in the district as no one feels safe.
Thousands of people led by BJP MLA Baby Kumari staged dharna on Muzaffarpur – Darbhanga NH 57 on July 25 to protest the gruesome killing of two traders on July 24 under Bochahan police station. She said that the dharna would be lifted only after the government announces an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh each to the deceased. Former MLA Ramsurat Rai, who was also participating in the dharna, said that incidents of murder, loot and rape had increased in the district.
It may be mentioned here that Fish trader Ram Shringar Sahni and dealer Mahendra Paswan were shot dead at Mamarkha Chowk by unidentified bike borne criminals on July 24 night. Resentment prevails among the people after the inicident.
