Patna : World No 266 in WTA rankings Chihiro Muramatsu, 21, Japan, the 4th seed, clinched the singles at $25,000 USD ITF Women’s tournament (India 03A) at Bhopal, MP, India, on November 24, 2019, after her opponent in final Karman Kaur Thandi, 21, India, retired due to injury in second set at Arera Club.

World No 611 Karman Kaur Thandi retired in second set trailing 1-6, 1-3 conceding the match to Muramatsu. Karman  returned to women’s tennis circuit recently after six months’ injury lay off. Karman had defeated World No 187 Ankita Raina, India, in Round of 16 in three-sets on November 21.
