Patna : Mumbai were all out for 297 in 80.3 in their first innings against Gujarat in Ranji Trophy match at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Maharashtra, on November 28, 2018, with Shivam Dubey, 25, hitting 110 in 128 balls with 8 fours and 6 sixes, Siddhesh Lad, 26, scoring 62 with 7 fours, and Suryakumar Yadav 40 with 7 fours. Spinner Dhurmil Matkar hit 47 in 53 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes while captain Dhawal Kulkarni was run out for 23 with 3 fours and a six.

Gujarat had won the toss but opted to bowl. Mumbai Opener Akhil Herwadkar was out for a duck while his opening partner Jay Gokul Bista was out for 8. Mumbai had lost 5 wickets with only 74 on board. In fact, Mumbai lost three wickets that of Surya Kumar Yadav, highly rated Aarman Jaffer, and wicketkeeper Aditya Tare, at 74. Four Mumbai batsmen : Herwadkar, Aarman Jaffer, Aditya Tare, and Tushar Deshpandey were out for duck.

For Gujarat, Arzan Nagwaswalla took 5/74 while Roosh Kalaria took 3/80. Piyush Chawla took 1/53 in 8 overs.
