Ara : A large number of Medical Representatives (MR) under the banner of Bihar – Jharkhand Sales Representatives Union (BJSRU) abstained from their duty on November 2, 2018, in protest against ban on their entry into government Hospitals for business purpose. They took out a procession that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated in front of the gate of Sadar Hospital, Ara, where they staged demonstration raising slogans against the State government and Health Minister, Bihar.
Devbrat Rai, MR, said that the Health Minister, Government of Bihar, violating the provision of Health Act 1940 has banned entry of MRs into any government hospital for business purposes. It is unjust, he said. He demanded of the State Government to withdraw the order at the earliest otherwise they would be compelled to resort to a more aggressive agitation.
