Missing Bhojpur recovered in Jharkhand

Ara : Bhojpur police, with the help of their Jharkhand counterpart, recovered a missing girl and brought her to Ara on May 18, 2017. Police also arrested Santosh Ram, son of Vijay Ram, in this connection and forwarded them to jail. Police produced the girl before the court to get her statement recorded under section 164 CrPC. The court directed police to get the girl medically examined after which she was brought over to Ara Sadar Hospital for her medical examination on May 19.

SHO, Udwanatnagar police station, Rajiv Kumar said that a girl of village Chakardah under Udwantnagar police station was missing from the village since April 28, 2017, and named FIR was lodged with Udwantnagar police station in this connection against three persons. Police on the basis of mobile surveillance, came to know that the girl was in Jharkhand. A police team was sent there and with the help of their Jharkhand counterpart, police recovered the girl and also arrested Santosh Ram of Chakardah village. The girl told the police that Santosh Ram outraged her modesty and exploited her sexually daily.
