Ara : Bhojpur police, with the help of their Chandigarh counterpart, recovered a teenage girl from Chandigarh and brought her over to Ara. Later, police took her to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before a local court on February 10, 2021, to get her statement recorded.
SHO Tier police station PS) said that a married woman of Sasaram in Rohtas district worked with her husband at a private firm at Chandigarh. As she had come to Sasaram, a teenage girl under Tier PS area left her home and reached Sasaram to meet her friend. Later, she went to Chandigarh along with her friend on February 1, 2021, without informing her family members. The father of the girl lodged an FIR regarding disappearance of his daughter with Tier PS.
After institution of FIR, police started investigating the matter and conducting raids at different places to recover the girl. Meanwhile, police got information through mobile surveillance that the girl was in Chandigarh. So a team of police went there and with the help of their Chandigarh counterpart recovered the girl from Chandigarh and brought her over to Ara. The girl, during interrogation, said that she had gone to Chandigarh along with her friend to travel.
