Ara : Some unidentified miscreants broke into Mahathin Dai temple at Bihia under the same police station in Bhojpur district around September 15, 2019, midnight, and plucked out an eye made of gold from the idol of Lord Hanuman. They also stole a gold bell hanging from the ceiling of the temple and decamped with the booty.
An FIR was lodged with Bihia police station on September 16 in this connection and police are investigating into the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
SHO, Bihia police station, said that some miscreants intruded Mahathin Dai temple around midnight on September 15, 2019, and plucked out a gold eye from the idol of Lord Hanuman and also stole a gold bell hanging from the ceiling of the temple and escaped. On September 16 morning ,when devotees went to the temple, they noticed that an eye from the idol of Lord Hanuman was missing. They immediately informed police about it. The SHO said that police are trying to identify the miscreants from the CCTV footage.
The priest of the temple Madan Das said that the miscreants stole gold eye of Lord Hanuman and a gold bell of God Krishna from the temple.
