Miscreants shot at 2 persons at Ara Rly Station to snatch their mobile phones

Ara : Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured two persons including an armyman at Platform No 1 at Ara railway station under Danapur  Division of East Central Railway, Hajipur, on January 20, 2019, and escaped. Later, the injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara, where the doctors there referred them to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of their serious condition.

SHO, Government Railway Police (GRP), Ara, Raj Nath Rai, said that an armyman, posted in Mumbai, Deepak Kumar, son of Krishna Singh, and Aman Kumar, 20, son of Surendra Pandit of village Mahadevpur under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district had come to Ara railway station to see off their friend Ramashankar, who was going outside to take railway examination by North-East Superfast Express on January 20, 2019. At Platform No 1, Ara railway station, they were waiting for the train when some miscreants tried to snatch their mobile from behind. When they protested, the miscreants, in drunken state, shot at them and escaped from the scene, said the SHO.

The SHO said that police recovered two blank cartridges from the spot and added that police were conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
