Miscreant threatens to kill Jagadishpur CO with AK 47

Ara : A miscreant has threatened to kill Circle Officer, Jagdishpur in Bhojpur district, Jai Ram Singh, with AK 47. The CO lodged an FIR with Jagdishpur police station in this regard and demanded security for him on January 7, 2019, evening.

CO Jai Ram Singh said that someone called on his mobile from Mobile No 9609472614 on January 7 saying he was an armyman. The caller said that the CO had removed encroachment at village Dilia and lodged an FIR against the encroachers. The caller asked the CO to withdraw the case otherwise he would be killed with AK-47, the CO said in the FIR lodged with police.

The CO said that he along with police force had gone to village Dilia under Jagdishpur police station January 5, 2018, and removed the encroachments with the help of JCB though some villagers had protested against the anti-encroachment drive. He said when they were returning after removing encroachments, some persons had attacked his vehicle and he and police force had to flee from the scene. Later, he had lodged an FIR against five persons in this connection with Jagdishpur police station.
