Ara : A miscreant threatened a Sub Inspector (SI) of Ara Town Police Station (PS), in Bhojpur District, Manoj Kumar, after he was arrested. He allegedly threatened the SI to kill him whenever he come out of the jail. Police also seized a pistol of 7.65 caliber and two live cartridges from his possession. A named FIR was lodged by police against him under the Arms Act. Police are investigating the matter.
Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey formed Cheeta Teams to keep to maintain law and order. On June 22, 2021 evening, during patrolling, the Cheeta Team arrested a miscreant Devendra Yadav alias Budbakawa of Moti Tola from Ambedkar Nagar under Ara Town PS while brandishing firearms in the area and brought him over to Ara Town PS. Police put him in lock up where he broke the CCTV and threatened SI Majoj Kumar with dire consequences saying he would shoot him dead whenever he comes out of the jail.
