Ara : A miscreant demanded Rs 20 lakh cash as extortion amount from an advocate of Ara Civil Court Surendra Singh on June 4, 2020, threatening him with dire consequences if he fails to pay the amount within a weak. The advocate while informing the Bhojpur SP and SHOs Nawada and Sandesh Police Stations about it has demanded security for himself and his family members.
Advocate, Ara Civil Court, Surendra Singh, of village Saripur under Sandesh police station lives at Saket Nagar, Godhna, under Nawada police station, Ara. The advocate, in a communication to police, has informed them, that he was preparing to go to Ara Civil Court on June 4, 2020, when someone called on his mobile. When he received the call, the caller started abusing him and demanded Rs 20 lakh with a threat of dire consequences if he fails to yield to his demands. The caller said that he was a don of Patna and Bhojpur and everyone knew him. He also asked Advicate Singh to send the money at Narayanpur Sand Ghat under Sandesh police station failing which he would be shot dead within a weak.
SHOs of Nawada and Sandesh police stations said that they were investigating the matter and the culprit would be arrested very soon.
