Patna : Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, 26, India, won silver medal in women’s weighlifting at Tokyo Olympics, India’s first medal at the event, on July 24, 2021. Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal in women’s 49kg weightlifting. She hails from Manipur. She lifted a total of 202 kg( 87 kg +115 kg) to win the silver medal. Karnam Malleswari, India, had won bronze medal at 2000 olympics.
