Minor girl raped at Bhojpur village, 1 held

Ara : Modesty of a minor girl was outraged at village Agiao under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur district on March 2, 2019, evening when she had gone to bring fodder for cattle.

A named FIR has been lodged with Azimabad police station against two youth of neighbouring Tarachak village : Bhuwar Rawani and Bheem Kumar. Police arrested Bhuwar Rawani and are conducting raids to arrest Bheem Kumar. Later, the case was transferred to Women’s police station and its SHO Madhuri Kumari was made the Investigation Officer of the case. Police brought the girl over to Sadar Hospital, Ara,  for medical examination and will produce her before the court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.

SHO, Azimabad police station, said that the girl, a class VI student,  along with her friend had gone to the field to bring fodder for the cattle in the evening on March 2 when two youth of neighbouring village: Bhuwar Rawani and Beem Kumar, caught and took her to a secluded place where they outraged her modesty. Her friend, hearing her cry, raised an alarm. The accused escaped from the spot as the villagers rushed to the spot for her rescue.
