Saharsa : Complete lockdown in view of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) notwithstanding, migrant workers working outside Bihar continue to pour in Saharsa District in North Bihar keeping the district administration on its toes. The district administration has made arrangements for their medical check-up and food at Saharsa Indoor Stadium and facilitating them reach their destinations.

Saharsa DM Kaushal Kumar said that the district administration has made arrangements for the medical check-up, food, and stay of around 300 migrant workers at Saharsa Indoor Stadium. The DM visited the Stadium on March 30, 2020. All of them are being examined at the stadium, he said and added that after medical examination the administration will provide vehicles to help them reach their villages. The DM said that all of them would be put in quarantine for 14 days at their respective Panchayats. Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar urged the migrant to excercise social distancing in view of COVID-19.

Director, DRDO, Saharsa, Rakesh Kumar, SDO, Saharsa, Shambhunath Jha, SDPO Prabhakar Tiwary, MVI Santosh Singh, Circle Officer, Kahra, Kumari Tausi, SHO, Sadar Police Station, R K Singh were also present at the Indoor Stadium.
