Ara : A middleage woman sustained bullet injury in her leg and was injured at Chandawa Mor under Nawada police station (PS), Ara, in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on September 30, 2021, as the bullet missed the target. The locals admitted her to Ara Sadar Hospital.
The injured woman was identified as Ramamwati Devi, 50, wife of Ram Dayal Pandit of Pachaina Bazaar under Koelwar PS in Bhojpur District. An FIR has been lodged with Nawada PS in this connection and police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreant.
SHO, NawadaPS, Avinash Kumar, said that a girl who worked at a Showroom at Chandawa talked with youth for the last four years but she stopped talking his calls for the last few months that annoyed the youth. The youth allegedly always chased her. But, the issue was settled at a meeting between the family members of the girl and the youth. On September 30, 2021, when the girl was on way to her duty, the youth allegedly teased her and when she protested, he fired on her but missed the target and the bullet hit a middleage woman passing through the area, the SHO said.
