Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) thumped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 10 wickets in the 41st match of IPL 2020 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah, UAE, on October 23, 2020, late night, opener Ishan Kishan scoring an unbeaten 68 in 37 balls hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes while his opening partner Quinton de Kock remained not out on 46 in 37 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. MI fast bowler Trent Boult was named Player Of The Match for taking 4/18 in 4 overs.

Replying to CSK’s 114/9 in 20 overs, MI scored 116/0 in just 12.2 overs. De Kock hit the winning four. MI had won the toss but opted to bowl.

Ishan Kishan hit fast medium bowler Deepak Chahar for 2 fours and a six on three consecutive balls in 5th over. He also hit fast bowler Josh Hazlewood for 2 fours in 2nd and 4th over. He hit spinner Imran Tahir for 2 sixes. He hit spinner Ravindra Jadeja for two sixes in 9th over.. Quinton de Kock hit fast medium bowler Shardul Thakur for a six and a four in 7th over. He also hit Thakur for a six in 11th over.

With this win, MI have reached the top of the points table with 14 points in 10 matches. Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also have 14 points each but MI have a much better run rate. All these three team have won7  matches each. All of them have lost 3 matches each. MI captain Rohit Sharm was not playing in this match.  Keiron Pollard led the side in his absence.
