Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) scored 210/6 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 41st match of IPL 2018 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on May 9, 2018, night, riding on an explosive 21 ball 62 with 5 fours and 6 sixes by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, 19, Bihar, at a strike rate of 295.24 and a 9 ball 24 with 1 four and 3 sixes by allrounder Ben Cuttings, 31, Australia. KKR had won the toss but opted to bowl.

Ishan Kishan completed his 50 in just 17 ball. He hit China man bowler Kuldeep Yadav for four consecutive sixes in the 14th over. It was Kuldeep’s third over. He leaked 43 runs in 3 overs. Ishan was involved in a 82 run partnership with captain Rohit Sharma for the third wicket. Rohit Sharma scored 36 in 31 ball with 2 fours and a six while Hardik Pandya made 19 in 13 ball hitting 2 sixes.

Earlier, opener Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis, Trinidad & Tobago, gave a solid start to MI and were involved in a 46 run stand for the first wicket. Suryakumar Yadav, 27, Mumbai, scored 36 in 32 with 5 fours and a six while Lewis made 18 in 13 ball hitting 3 fours. Krunal Pandya remained not out on 8 in 2 ball with a six.

For KKR, spinner Piyush Chawla took 3/48 in 4 overs while Sunil Narine took 1/27 in 4 overs. Pacer Prashidh Krishna, 22, Karnataka, took 1/41 in 4 overs while Tom Curran, 23, England, took 1/33 in 3 overs.
