Mentally challenged person thrashed to death at Bhojpur village

Ara : Police found body of a middleage person on the outskirts of village Panwari under Sikarhatta police station in Bhojpur district on June 15, 2018, late evening, and brought it over to  Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Jitendra Kumar Rai of village Bagar under Sikarhatta police station. The reason behind his death is still to be ascertained.

SHO, Sikarhatta police station, Dhananjay Pandey said that Jitendra Kumar Rai was unmarried and mentally challenged. He was missing since June 13, 2018. He said that the miscreants thrashed him to death with traditional weapons and threw his body near a canal on the outskirts of village Panwari. He said that an FIR has been lodged in this connection and police were searching for the miscreants.
