Mentally challenged girl gangraped at Ara

Ara : A mentally challenged teenage girl was gangraped two persons on June 7, 2018, night, in Old Policeline locality under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district. Later, the accused left her at Ara railway station. On getting information, police brought her to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination on June 8.

Police arrested both the accused : Sanjay Sah, son of Dashrath Sah, and his brother-in-law (sister’s husband) Brigunath Sah alias Pawan Sah, son of Kapil Muni Sah, from village Marchaiyadera under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district the same night and sent them to jail. A named FIR has been lodged with Woman police station, Ara, in this connection.

SHO, Woman police station, said that the girl was living with her maternal grandfather at village Marchaiyadera under Shahpur police station for the last six months and on June 7,  Sanjay Sah of Marchayadera village along with his brother-in-law Brigunath Sah of Karnamepur lured her away and brought her to Ara and kept her in a room of Brigunath Sah in Old Policeline area under Ara town police station where both raped her the whole night. In the morning, they left her at Ara railway station and also informed her family members that the girl was at Ara railway station.
