Patna : World No 2 Daniil Medvedev, 25, Russia, and World No 4 Alexander Zverev, 24, Germany, reached semi-finals of ATP Rolex Paris Masters at Paris, France, on November 6, 2021.

Second seed Medvedev, the reigning US Open champion, beat qualifier & World No 103 Hugo Gaston, 21, France, in straight sets 7-6, 6-4 in 1hr 45 minutes in quarter-final on November 6. The Russian hammered 13 Aces during the match to just 1 by Gaston. Medvedev won 3 break points during the match to 2 by the Frenchman. The Russian also won 5 games in a row during the match to 3 by Gaston. The Russian, who also won the tiebreak, won 82 points in the match to 73 by Gaston.

Zverev, the 4th seed, defeated 6th seed & World No 8 Casper Ruud, 22, Norway, in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 in 1hr 34 minutes in quarter-final winning 2 break points and 3 games in a row during the match. Zverev, in all, won 69 points in the match to 59 by Ruud. Zverev will face Ruud in SF on November 6, 2021.
