Daniil Medvedev, 25, Russia, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 3 with 9,735 points after reaching the AO finals. Dominic Thiem, 27, Austria, has dropped 1 place and is ranked World No 4 with 9,125 points. Thiem, the 2020 AO finalist, lost in the 4th round of AO 2021. Djokovic and Nadal have not added new points to their total as they simply defended their points won in AO 2020.
Roger Federer, 39, Switzerland, with 6,630 points remains World No 5 while Stefanos Tsitsipas, 22, Greece, with 6,595 points is World No 6. Tsitsipas had reached SFs of AO 2021. Alexander Zverev, 23, Germany, with 5,615 points remains World No 7. Zverev had reached QFs of AO 2021.
