Medvedev, Berrettini, Fucsovics enter SFs of ATP Sofia Open

Patna : World No 16 in ATP rankings Daniil Medvedev, 22, Russia, entered the semi-finals of ATP Sofia Open, a 250 points tennis tournament, at Sofia, Bulgaria, defeating World No 38 Martin Klizan, 29, Slovakia, 6-4, 6-1 in the quarter-finals on February 8, 2019. Medvedev fired 9 Aces in the match to 3 by Klizan, who committed 5 double faults. Medvedev won 4 break points to none by his rival. besides winning 5 games in a row in the match.

World No 47 Marton Fucsovics, 26, Hungary, also entered the semi-finals of the tournament after his quarter-finals opponent and World No 18 Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain, retired due to injury before the match.

World No  53 Matteo Berrettini, 22, Italy, entered the semi-finals defeating World No 26 Fernando Verdasco, 35, Spain, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 in the quarter-finals.
