Medicine dealer shot dead by 6 criminals in broad daylight in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi : Six unidentified criminals riding two bikes shot dead a medicine dealer Ramashray Singh, 70, a resident of village Marpa Kripal under Majorganj police station in Sitamarhi district, in broad daylight on June 27, 2019, and looted his bag containing huge cash.

The deceased was travelling by a Sitamarhi bound bus from Suppi block headquarter. His medicine shop is located at Suppi Bazar. The criminals intercepted the bus near village Halempur, dragged Ramashray Singh out, looted his bag, shot him dead and sped away towards Sitamarhi. The bullets hit Ramashray Singh in head and stomach. He died at a Sitamarhi hospital.

According to Sitamarhi SP Anil Kumar, raids are underway to arrest the culprits. According to villagers, long drawn land dispute may be a cause of incident.
