Media workshop on anti-tobacco campaign at Ara

Ara : A day long media workshop on Anti-tobacco campaign was organised here jointly by ‘Disha -Ek Prayas ‘and `Salam Mumbai Foundation’ on May 25, 2019. Labour Superintendent, Bhojpur, Rakesh Ranjan, and Secretary, Disha-Ek Prayas, Sunita Singh, Principal, S B School, Shila Singh and Prem Ranjan jointly inaugurated the function by lighting the candle.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Ranjan said that tobacco is injurious to health and claims at least ten lakh lives every year. He said that about 29 crore people use tobacco and urged the people to avoid tobacco. He said that today teenage and young children who are future of the nation are using tobacco in maximum number.

Labour Superintendent Ranjan said that tobacco is a slow poison and causes cancer. He said that people are dying due to mouth cancer mostly caused by tobacco. He requested the mediapersons to apprise the people of the danger posed by tobacco.
