Media plays important role in dissemination of information: Patna Commissioner

Patna: A seminar on reporting from conflict areas was organised by the Divisional Commissioner, Patna, at conference hall of his office on Wednesday. Divisional Commissioner Anand Kishore said the seminar sponsored on  the Press Day was relevant in the current atmosphere in the country as media plays an important role in the dissemination of information both to the government and the commonmen.
Former Home secretary R N Dash, who was DM and later divisional commissioner of Patna in the 80s, in his presidential address, said in national interest media had to keep many development secret as it happened during the Bangladesh liberation struggle and now in North Eastern states. He said communication between media and government agencies should be smooth and frequent.
