Ara : A meat shop owner Ayodhya Sah was killed on August 31, 2021, evening, at village Ekwari under Sahar police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar for refusing to give free mutton to a man from the same village. Police have arrested the accused identified as Purnwasi Chaudhary of Ekwari and sent him to jail after interrogation.

The SHO, Sahar PS, said that Ayodhya Sah of village Ekwari owned a meat shop at Ekwari Bazaar. He was at his shop on August 31, 2021, evening,  when Pranwasi Chaudhary of the village reached there in drunken state and demanded 5kg of meat free of cost.  Ayodhya Sah  refused to give meat free of cost. Angry over it,  Pranwasi Chaudhary called his associates and allegedly attacked Ayodhaya Sah and thrashed him. They also chopped off his throat with a sharpedged weapon and threw him on roadside.

The locals informed his family members who rushed him to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of his serious condition. Ayodhaya Sah succumbed to his injuries on way to the PMCH.
