Saharsa : Soldier Kundan Kumar, who attained martyrdom in violent clash with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley in Ladakh on June 15, 2020, night, was cremated with full State Honours at his native village Aaran in Saharsa District in North Bihar on June 19, 2020, morning, in the presence of hundreds of people. Kundan Kumar is survived by his widow and two sons aged 4 and 6 years.
As soon the body reached Aaran, the huge gathering with tears rolling down their cheek raised the slogan ” Jab Tak Suraj Chand Rahega, Tab Tak Saheed Kundan Ka Naam Rahega”. They also raised anti-China slogans. His mother, wife, and other family members were seen crying.
State PHED Minister Vinod Narain Jha, Ramesh Rishidev, Minister, Dineshchandra Yadav, MP, District Board Chairperson Adahul Devi, Saharsa MLA Arun Yadav, Madhepura MLA Prof Chandrasekhar Yadav, former legislators Sanjeev Jha, Kishore Kumar ‘Munna’, Alaok Ranjan, JD(U) leader Akshay Jha, Saharsa DM Kaushal Kumar, DIG Suresh Chaudhary, SP Rakesh Kumar, and SDO Shambhunath Jha were also present at Aaran on the occasion.
