Maoists blow up farmer’s house in W Champaran

Bettiah : Maoists blew up the house of a farmer Saroj Pandey of village  Belawa Bahuyari under Gaunaha police station under Narakatiaganj sub- division in West Champaran on December 30, 2016, night using explosives. No causality was reported though. Sources said that the ultras had demanded levy from the farmer in 2014 but he refused to pay it. Gaunaha police station SHO Ranvir Jha said that a case had been lodged with the police station. ASP, Bettiah, Rajesh Kumar visited the spot on December 31 and inquired into the matter. The ASP said that the culprits will be arrested very soon.
