Patna : Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan on November 19, 2020, administered oath to former CM and HAM(s) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi as Protem Speaker of 17th Bihar legislative assembly for its first session at Raj Bhavan at 11am. Manjhi will hold the post of Protem Speaker for two days – November 23, 2020, to November 24, 2020, till the election of new Speaker of Bihar Assembly.
Manjhi has been elected from Imamganj (SC) Assembly Constituency in Gaya District in South Bihar. His party HAM(S) won 4 seats in recently concluded Bihar Assembly polls.
