Man thrashed to death at Rohtas village

Sasaram : Jagropan Chaudhary of village Kadwa under Nokha police station  in Rohtas district was thrashed to death on April 26, 2018,  evening, by some goons at village Chakia under Dhansoi police station in Rohtas district. Tension prevails in and around the village following the incident.

Amarjeet Chaudhary alias Chhotu Chaudhary, son of Ganesh Chaudhary of Chakia village under Dhansoi police station, and kidnapped a school girl of the same village two months ago with a view to marrying her as both were allegedly in love. The father of the girl had lodged a named FIR with Dhansoi police station against Amarjit Chaudhary. Villagers said that father of girl is quite influential and was allegedly putting pressure on the family members of Amarjit Chaudhary to return the girl. He had also stopped harvesting of his crops.

Frightened family members of Amarjit Chaudhary left the village and were living somewhere else. In the meantime, Amarjit Chaudhary’s maternal uncle, Jagropan Chaudhary of village Kadwa under Nokha police station came to Chakia village but some goons of the girl’s father allegedly thrashed him to death.

SHO, Dhansoi police station, Ashok Kumar said that Binda Devi, sister of the deceased, pelted cops with stones when they went to the village to seize the body. She alleged that that no one came to the rescue of her brother and now police had come to take the body under their custody.
