Man stragulated to death at in-laws’ place in Bhojpur

Ara : Neeraj Kumar of Sheikhpura was strangulated to death allegedly by his in-laws and wife at village Matiara under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district on March 20, 2018. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Koelwar police station, said that Neeraj Kumar of Sheikhpura worked in an NGO and had come to his in-laws’ place on March 19, 2018, night, to meet his wife. But, he was unaware of the conspiracy his in-laws and wife had allegedly hatched to kill him. On March 20 morning, his in-laws and wife attacked him abruptly and strangulated him to death.

Vidyawati Devi, mother of the deceased, said that Niraj’s relation with his in-laws was strained for the last some months which was the reason for his murder. Police said they were awaiting the post-mortem report.
