Saharsa : A man stabbed to death his sister at Ward No 1 of village Parsa under Sadar Police Station in Saharsa District in North Bihar on March 31, 2020, evening. Police, however, arrested the accused Sushil Kumar Sah along with blood stained cloth and the knife used in the crime within 24 hours of the incident, which took place at the time when Sadar Police Station was busy enforcing the lockdown. Sushil Kumar Sah had escaped after killing his 14 year old sister Phul Kumari.

According to police sources, Sushil Kumar Sah reached his house at 4.30 pm on March 31, 2020, in a druken state and stabbed to death his sister allegedly under a plan taking advantage of absence of other family members, who were away from home. Sushil kept stabbing his sister till she died, said police sources.

Sharda Devi,  mother of the deceased Phul Kumari, said that Sushil Kumar Sah is a drunkard who used to bring liquor home and often boozed with his friends, which his father and other family members always objected to. Five days back when Mukesh was boozing with his friends at home, his family members again objected to it after which he threatened to eliminate all of them and left the house, she said. Sushil was very angry with his sister as he suspected her of having an affair with a youth.

SDPO, Saharsa, Prabhakar Tiwary, said that Phul Kumari’s mother, in a statement given to police at Sadar Police Station, said that Sushul Kumar Sah had stabbed his sister to death. He said that IO Manoj Kumar Bachchan had been directed to investigate the case from different angles.
