Saharsa : Vinod Kumar Yadav of Madhepura district was stabbed to death by his cousin Rajan Kumar Yadav of the same district on May 25, 2017, evening at village Pasraha under Sadar police station, Saharsa, in Saharsa district.
SHO, Sadar police station, Bhai Bharat, said that Vinod Kumar Yadav was allegedly in love with his cousin sister which led to brawl between him and Rajan during which the latter stabbed him to death. Rajan himself informed police about the incident.
The SHO said that Vinod had eloped with his cousin sister on October 1, 2016, and her kin had brought her back to Saharsa with great difficulty and she was staying with her Mausi ( mother’s sister) at village Pasraha in Saharsa district. Vinod had started making rounds of Pasraha too, the SHO said adding that on May 25, Rajan, brother of the girl, saw him at Pasraha and this led to fight between the two. Rajan initially tried to misled police but during interrogation confessed him crime and was arrested, the SHO said.
