Man kills wife at Buxar village

Buxar : Pramod Chaudhary allegedly strangulated his wife Laxmina Devi to death at Pipara Tola of village Kaithhar Khurd under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district on July 3, 2018, and escaped.

Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. A named FIR has been lodged with Dhansoi police station on the statement of the deceased’s father but no arrest has so far been made in this connection.

SHO, Dhansoi police station, Ashok Kumar said that Ram Sewak Chaudhary had married off his daughter Laxmina Devi to Pramod Chaudhary of Pipara Tola of village Kaithhar Khurd about 15 years ago. But, Pramod Chaudhary allegedly had illicit relation with his sister-in-law (bhabhi) which his wife always objected to, the SHO said. On July 3, Pramod Chaudhary had a heated exchange with his wife. He tried to persuade her not to object to their relation and when she did not agree, he strangulated her to death and escaped.

Ram Sewak Chaudhary said that Pramod Chaudhary had illicit relation with his bhabhi prior to his marriage but as he did not know about it, he married off his daughter to him.
