Munger : A 48 year old Clock Shop owner Bharat Kesri killed five family members including his 95 year old mother Savitri Devi, wife Asha Devi, 40, and three daughters in a fit of anger around 4 am on January 17, 2020, at Kanhaiya Tola under Haveli Kharagpur Police station in Munger District and then made an abortive bid to commit suicide by jumping down from the rooftop of his house which is 40 feet high.
Bharat has been arrested and admitted to Munger Sadar Hospital. Bharat informed police that he was suffering from depression. His slain daughters were identified as Shivani (16), Simran (14), and Sonam (11).
Munger SP Lipi Singh said that Bharat Kesri strangulated his mother, wife, and three daughters to death after he failed to locate some documents related to lease agreement of his shop. The Munger SP said that tan FSL team has reached the spot and collecting evidence.
